The New Orleans Pelicans have reportedly hired WNBA Legend, Swin Cash, to a ‘senior front office’ position.
In a much needed effort to expand female leadership within the NBA, the Pelicans have become the latest to make a hire. Cash has had quite the career and although she has no experience with NBA affairs, she can certainly make an impact on daily operations and player growth. Cash retired from the WNBA in 2016 after playing 15 seasons. She has won 3 championships and has been selected to the All-Star team 4 times.
Still no report on the details of her responsibilities, but rumors are circulating that she will be heavily involved with player growth development, the same system that will ultimately help groom Zion Williamson and the team they build around him.
