Miami, FL –
Legendary Miami Heat star Dwayne Wade will have his jersey retired. The historical moment is planned for February 22nd.
The Heat will host the Cleveland Cavaliers that night, a team that he spent some time playing for after leaving Miami. The team is also planning a more ‘reserved’ ceremony the night before to give a more private honor to Wade.
The Sun Sentinel is already reporting that ticket prices have shot up. The average ticket price is now up to $183.60. That’s a significant increase from the $95 ticket price from the day before. Tickets to sit behind the Heat bench are selling for $1,356 per seat.
Wade’s former teammate and good friend Chris Bosh shared his excitement on Twitter.

In his 1,054 game career, Wade averaged 22.0 PPG. Although his stats are remarkable across the board, his leadership is what’s cemented his legend. He’s widely known for his leadership in Miami and the NBA.
