The United States Soccer Team has canceled its training camp in Qatar.
The change in plans is the result of increasing tensions in the region after the U.S bombed an Iranian airport. A top Iranian was killed in the bombing. Officially, the team has stated that they’ve canceled their training “due to the developing situation in the region.”

There is no specific threat against Americans in Qatar. The threat and uncertainty of international travel in and out of the region are the concern. Team USA will conduct its annual January camp in Bradenton, Florida beginning Jan. 6.
