San Francisco, CA –
The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Divisional Round, 27-10.
Minnesota never seemed to have much gas in their plays as they got outlasted in San Francisco. Kirk Cousins was sacked 6 times in the loss as San Francisco dominated on both sides of the ball.
Jimmy Garroppolo didn’t have a special game but did lead his team to victory behind a 11/19 afternoon. He did throw 1 touchdown but he also threw an interception. 49ers RB Tevin Coleman led the offense on the ground with 105 yard on 22 carries and 2 touchdowns.
Across the field, Kirk Cousins didn’t play well either. He threw for 172 yards on 22/29 attempts. He put one in the end zone and one in the defender’s hands. In his defense (no pun intended), he was under pressure most of the game.
Believe it or not, Minnesota’s rushing game didn’t show up to the game. Star RB Dalvin Cook only had 18 yards on 9 carries.
The 49ers await their opponent as they’ll welcome then into Levi’s Stadium next week.
