Baltimore, MD –
The Baltimore Ravens fell to the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Divisional, 28-12. Baltimore eliminated from the playoffs.
It was a game that seemed to prohibit the Ravens from flying. Their usually unstoppable offense fell flat against the Titans in a stunner. This game will go down in history and I’ll be very emotional talking to my kids about it. You know, in the future.
I knew it would be rough from the beginning. The Titans seemed well-prepared for Lamar Jackson from the first snap. Time continued rolling and the defense continued to have Lamar under pressure. In the early moments, it became apparent that Lamar was rattled by the Tennessee defense as he frustration began to show.
Those frustrations costed him a 15-yard penalty.
Mike Vrabel’s Titan offense shocked the Raven’s defense with power and force. The exciting playbook caught me by surprise but it has my attention.
Check out this play that put six on the board.
219 rushing yards shows that the Titans moved on the ground. A big game from Derrick Henry cemented his legend for many. We knew he was good, but wow. He rushed for 195 yards and threw a touchdown. His big game was the first time a player rushed for over 180 yards in post-season.
Ryan Tannehill threw for a mere 88 yards but put two in the end-zone. With Henry in the backfield, I imagine that’s who got the workload. Tannehill went 7-14 all game. Lamar Jackson was the offensive star but the numbers don’t tell the story. Jackson’s 365 yards came with 2 interceptions. They racked up yards but couldn’t get it done. “Hollywood” Brown nabbed 7 receptions for 126 yards to prove that he’s a star.
The Titans advance to the AFC Championship.
