Roddy Ricch Has the No. 1 Album In the Country, Again

Baltimore, MD –

Roddy Ricch has made history after his album Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial has returned to the no. 1 spot on the Billboard Top 200. This is the first album in 20 years to do so.

The album was no. 1 after its December release, moving 101,000 equivalent album units. Billboard reports that Just this past week, the album sold 97,000 equivalent units including 14,000 traditional album sales.

The last album to do that was Game’s The Documentary in 2005.

Roddy’s Growth

It’s interesting to watch artists grow.

Most of us met Roddy through Nipsey Hussle. The two opened up 2019 with their single ‘Racks In the Middle’.

Since then, Roddy has continued to climb in the industry. His single “The Box” is the leading single from Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial and I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what energized the album’s historic run.

Last month, a video of Roddy opening up his sold out show in Los Angeles began rotating around the internet. I saw it. I was hooked. Exhibit A:

He’s musically sound, lyrically honest, and hungry; this is just the beginning of the Roddy Ricch story.
