Zion Williamson Expected To Make NBA Debut On Jan. 22 Against Spurs

New Orleans, LA-

The New Orleans Pelicans have announced that rookie F Zion Williamson will make his regular season debut January 22nd.

Williamson was the No.1 pick in the 2019 NBA draft. Coming out of Duke, Williamson was arguably the most electrifying prospect. In fact, he was one of the most decorated prospects in history.

After undergoing surgery for a torn meniscus, Williamson will make his debut next week when the Pelicans host the Spurs. “Our anticipation is that he’ll play his first game on the 22nd at home vs. San Antonio,” Pelicans’ President of basketball operations David Griffin said in a statement.

Unfortunately, the game is not nationally televised. Williamson won’t make his national debut until Feb. 2 against Houston.
