IRVINE, CA –
Vizio has announced a partnership with Disney+. The popular streaming app will now be available directly on Vizio Smartcast platforms.
Smartcast is a built in platform that gives Vizio televisions the capabilities to tons of content via the internet. It hosts other popular apps like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and more. Now, Disney+ will be joining the options. Users will be able to stream Disney+ through Smartcast using Apple Air Play 2 and Google Chrome extensions.
You’ll now be able to launch Disney+ directly from the Smartcast home screen.
“At VIZIO, we are always working to provide the best home entertainment experience for our users,” states Bill Baxter, Chief Technology Officer, VIZIO. “We are excited to bring Disney+ onto the SmartCast platform to give viewers access to even more content to enjoy.”
Smartcast is brilliantly accessible.
It’s funny. I just bought another Vizio two weeks ago and have been in love with the Smartcast system.
It gives you the capability to cast video from your devices without needing any other hardware. It’s all built in. I’ve been a Sling user for two years now and have been having to using Chromecast to stream on my other TV. When I unboxed my new TV, it was ready to stream without the Chromecast. It also offers a great selection of free movies and shows to stream at your pleasure’s needs. I got to watch one of my favorite movies, Minority Report, for free.
In case you’re wondering, yes this smile is real.
It’s great to see Disney+ being added to the platform. Excited to see how it merges the two company’s publics.
