WASHINGTON, D.C –
Some members of President Donald Trump’s inner circle have been in self-quarantine after Coronavirus fears. One man was later diagnosed with the disease.
Despite Trump being in contact with these men, the White House says he doesn’t need a test.
, White House spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham shared that Trump was not tested because “he has neither had prolonged close contact with any known confirmed COVID-19 patients, nor does he have any symptoms.”
Interesting because from what research indicates, it takes 5 days for symptoms to show up. I wouldn’t call this the best example for how to handle the disease. It would go a lot farther for the country if Trump got tested. Just to be safe. Also to be a good example for taking necessary precautions in identifying the disease.
“President Trump remains in excellent health, and his physician will continue to closely monitor him,” Grisham continued.
Here are those people around Trump who are self-quarantined:
- Florida Gov. Matt Gaetz (rode with Trump in “The Beast” limousine in Florida morning)
- White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows
- Rep. Doug Collins (photographed shaking hands with Trump)
Mark Meadows says he will be staying home until tomorrow. This is despite his tests coming back negative. No details on the others.
