After going viral for their quarantine-defying vacation video, a group college kids has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to WKBN-CBS reports, five University of Tampa students have tested positive during their visit to Clearwater Beach. The UT students were celebrating Spring Break amid the quarantine restrictions. In fact, it was a lot of kids at this beach. University of Tampa sent well wishes and more in a Tweet:
UT has been notified that five UT students, traveling together and with other UT students during Spring Break, have tested positive for COVID-19. We sincerely wish our students, and any others who may be affected, a full and rapid recovery. https://t.co/MXl4e1v3gh

Note: the school didn’t say where the kids were from.
Don’t be scared, be smart.
When the video of these kids at the beach first hit social media, outrage poured in. It’s clear that these kids acted in poor decision-making by going to the beach. We knew this from the beginning.
Usually, these announcements invoke some sort of fear or shock. Don’t feel that for this. We all know that if these kids were not at the beach during the quarantine, the odds of them getting sick are significantly lower. Let’s just remain smart and adhere to the quarantine guidelines.
As for the kids, I hate this happened. I really hope you guys have a speedy and strong recovery. God bless your families, too. Hopefully, the germs can be, or already have been, contained.
