BALTIMORE, MD –
Washington (BrianJamesLive, 7-3) fell to Seattle (CPU, 8-2) on a last second sack. Seahawks edged the Skins, 31-28.
It was a tough battle for the Washington defense as they struggled to handle Russell Wilson and Chris Carson. “It was one of those days for us. We knew we had our hands full going in but we’ve got to stick to the gameplan,” Coach Hooper said after game. “They’re [Seattle] one of the toughest teams in the league and I’m glad our guys showed up. We’ve just got to finish.”
“Big Summer” played a solid game under center. He stood up to the pressures of going toe to toe with future Hall of Famer, Russell Wilson. Summers finished the game with 276 yards completing 19 of 27 passes. He threw four touchdowns and one interception. The pressure was heavy as he was sacked five times.
One of his biggest moments was this quarter-field dime to Steven Sims Jr. in the 2nd Quarter:
Speaking of the receiving core, it was a big day for Calvin Ridley. He led all receivers with 108 yards and two touchdowns including a 39 yard touchdown.
Very quiet day in the Washington backfield. The lack of steady production on the ground is what may have costed them the game. Dante Huval led the Skins rushing attack with 53 yards on 6 carries. Robert Howard had 39 yards on 9 carries.
Defensively, Landon Collins continue to prove why he’s the best in the game. He led all defenders with 12 tackles and 7 assists. Everywhere else was lifeless. The defense allowed Russell Wilson to throw for 255 yards and 4 touchdowns. They also allowed a big game from Chris Carson who rushed for 120 yards. D.K Metcalf led Seattle’s pass attack with 92 yards and 1 touchdown.
Washington has busy week ahead trying to hold on to first place in the NFC East. This week’s match ups include San Francisco, Dallas, and more.
Poor tackling and coaching. It’s on me.
This game was embarrassing for me as a user.
It was the first time on Twitch and we didn’t show up to play. I missed a lot of tackles and towards the end of the game, my coaching was horrible. The final drive could have given us the win but I forced it with Mike Summers.
He did great but I’m starting to need more weapons as a user. He’s the starter but his rating is significantly lower than the back up. Well, they’re about 8 points apart. I may play the rookie this week to to get ready for the next “Fever”.
