NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns is speaking out about the coronavirus. His mother is currently in a medically induced coma as a result of fighting COVID-19. He urges others to take the virus serious.
“This disease is real,” he said. “This disease needs not to be taken lightly. Please protect your families, your loved ones, your friends, yourself.” He shouldn’t have to send this heartfelt plea but he did. Sadly, many
young people still refrain to take the threat serious. There have been so many medical trials completed across the world. While some lives were saved, unfortunately, everyone hasn’t been able to heal. We’re coming close to 1,000 deaths here in America and approaching 20,000 deaths in the world.
Here are “KAT’s” words about the pandemic and his mother.

Sharing my story in the hopes that everyone stays at home! We need more equipment and we need to help those medical personnel on the front lines. Thank you to the medical staff who are helping my mom. You are all the true heroes! Praying for all of us at this difficult time.
Towns details that both of his parents weren’t feeling too well, recently. He urged them to go to the hospital and they obliged. His father was sent home to quarantine but his mother has been having a tough time. They couldn’t get her fever under control. God bless her. Sounds like they even tried to give her multiple drugs but nothing equaled sustained health.
Heed Towns’ warning and reminder, family. You’re not too cool to take necessary precautions against the virus. If you are too cool then just stay in the house. Don’t let us see you following instructions.
