BALTIMORE, MD –
The senate passed a coronavirus stimulus bill that gives Americans up to $1,200. The fund are to help families rebuild after COVID-19.
Since the news dropped, I’ve been wondering how everyone felt about the check. If you’ve been following us then you know that senate leaders have been working on this bill, tirelessly. To finally draw the line against idiocy and decide to push a bi-partisan bill, that takes humility. Happy that the rare occasion will also save lives.
It’s heroism but is it enough?
I don’t have the specifics but “adulting” is expensive. To most of us, $1,200 isn’t much but it is something. At least that’s what I’ve been saying in typical conversation. I don’t want to get into my personal finances but I’m blessed to still be able to work. Obviously bookings and some purchases have been halted but this check will help.
I can only imagine the struggle of two part-time employee parents raising a family of 2 kids. They both may be laid off or just not asked to come into work. I just wonder if this check would be enough for them and their expenses. I went to sleep with this on my mind Friday and took to the radio over the weekend.
Here’s what’s being said:
Just the beginning.
I think this is just the initial agreement to help Americans.
There will be more bills and policies introduced to help stabilize the American economy after the virus. During his press conference Sunday (March 30), President Trump said that the government will be sure to do whatever is needed to stabilize families and the American economy. Once I heard that, I was pretty certain that more money would be on the way.
Clearly that’s just speculation but it’s common sense to see that Americans will need more government support. What do you think?
