CUPERTINO, CA –
Apple leaked some information about its upcoming release, the 4.7 inch iPhone SE.
According to The Verge, a Belkin Screen Protector hit the Apple store. It’s listed as compatible with the “iPhone 7, 8, and SE”. Now, it’s clear that posting that information was a mistake because it has since been removed. With the product mentioning the ‘SE’ model, rumors of a 4.7 inch SE device are confirmed.
Well, not confirmed confirmed, but confirmed.
The more I read about the model, the more I’m tempted to just call this device the iPhone 9. It’s safe to assume that the new device will have a design similar to the iPhone 7 and 8. According to 9to5 Mac , the new device will be offered in black, white, and red. It will have an A13 porcessor and storage capacity of 64, 128, and 256 GB. They also have confirmed the “SE” name.
Price me, baby.
No price has been given for the device but we can assume it will be low compared to other iPhones.
The original SE model released in 2016 and was listed for $399. It combined the iPhone 6 system with the 5’s body. As we just covered, the device’s specs are being compared to older devices. It doesn’t seem like Apple is reaching for innovation right now. This feels more as if Apple is simply looking to offer another device to customers who may can’t afford iPhones.
The newer, $1,200 + models, that is.
