All across social media, I’ve noticed a pattern of millennials complaining about the “stuck” feeling. Something about being quarantined has drowned many of us in “lazy sauce”. Things are getting done but it just feels like we’re moving in slow motion.
Then, I offered a challenge to myself to change my perspective on it.
Personally, I was under the impression that my struggle to get out of bed in the morning is because of the pandemic. It kind of felt like a cloud of laziness just swirling around my psyche. As I started to really sink into it, I couldn’t help but notice that it’s not laziness. It’s concern. We don’t have a good grasp on tomorrow, right now.
I started to admit that what’s going on right now is completely out of my control. From that moment on, the sting of the “lazy sauce” started to subside. Here’s what I mean:
