ATLANTA, GA –
2 Chainz opted to not open his Escobar Restaurant this weekend despite Georgia’s re-opening plans. Instead, the Atlanta star fed the homeless.
It has been a confusing time for many of us. Coronavirus has been quite the monster to tackle. What’s made it even more difficult to handle is the confusing messaging from leadership. Georgia made headlines last week when its Governor announced plans to re-open the state. As many wrestle with the reality of this deadly virus, re-opening anything seems nearly impossible.
“In the same way that we carefully closed businesses and urged operations to end to mitigate the virus’ spread, today we’re announcing plans to incrementally and safely reopen sectors of our economy,” Governor Kemp said last week. His plans were to re-open certain businesses as early as last Friday (April 24th). Business owners in the state were faced with the tough decision about re-opening businesses and possibly harming customers.
Like many Georgia business owners, 2 Chainz and his Escobar Restaurant announced that his restaurant will not open. Instead, they fed the homeless in Atlanta.
